Morning Routine Quicklist


1. Wake up

  • Be aware of your body, focus your awareness on positive things.

2. Nature calls

  • Go to the restroom as needed.

3. Washing the face

  • Mix your powder face cleanser with milk to form a liquidy consistency. Massage over fce and rinse with warm water.

4. Teeth and Gum care

  • Massage gums with Gum tone morning and night.

5. Tongue scraping

6. Chewing Sesame seeds

  • Chew raw sesame seeds (black) into a paste, then spit it out.

7. Mouth gargle

  • Swish 2 teaspoons of sesame oil in your mouth for 1 to 2 minutes. Spit it out afterwards.

8. Mouth rinse

  • Mix 1 teaspoon of Triphala powder with ¼ cup of warm to hot water and swish it around your mouth for 1 to 2 minutes. Spit it out.

9. Drinking water

  • Drink a glass of room temperature water on an empty stomach.

11. Nose care

  • Lying on the bed with your head back, put two drops of Anu Thailam in each nostril and let it sit for 1 or 2 minutes. Spit out any mucus through the mouth. Rinse mouth with water.

12. Abhyanga (oil massage)

  • Apply warm Dhanwantharam oil all over the body, starting from the very top of the head, then the face, ears, eyes, massage down to the feet. Warm every part of your body and leave the oil on for up to 20 minutes. Focus on head, face and feet if you’re pressed for time.

13. Shower

  • Apply bathing powder over the oil and massage the skin. Rinse with warm water.

14. Meditation

  • Sit down in a calm, warm area and meditate.

15. Breakfast

  • Eat according to your dosha. Kapha doshas may skip this step.
