CONCISE DESCRIPTION OF THE TREE: A large evergreen tree with buttressed trunk and spreading crown, with dropping branches. The bark is smooth, outside is grey, inside is flesh colored. Leaves – simple subopposite, oblong or eliptic, crenulate. They are pale dull green above and pale brown beneath, unequal sided. The nerves are 10-15 pairs. Flowers – white, in panicles of spikes with linear bracteoloes. Fruits – ovoid of oblong with 5-7 short, hard angles or wings. The lines are oblique and curve upwards.
